Welcome to the forum. 30 degrees is standard on all mower blades. When you do it, you should end up with a flat on the cutting edge that is about 1/64" rather than to a razor edge. The tiny flat makes the sharpened edge last much longer than if it were completely share. If you make them razor edged, the edge will roll under rather quickly and the cut will not be as nice.

30 degrees. If you can, get a machine that keeps that angle for you and a real balancer that ensures blade is balanced.

MAGNA MATIC:

OREGON:

Pretty sure you'll find several alternatives.

I have All Amercian sharpener 5005 Model, and I do keep checking for balance everytime I sharpen them. Ive been looking at the Magna-Matic lately
