This is my first winter as an LCO. My question is: now that the grass has stopped growing and the leafs have almost stopped falling, I still go every week and clean the parking lots and pull weeds off the beds. I also change the pine straw if needed on the beds.

Is this what you guys do? or Do you completely stop work until March/April?

    Am I overdoing it?

we have one day a week mowing ryegrass.
we spend a day a week on the same things you just said.

We also are in the middle of all of our hand pruning, wrapping palms, etc.

firts week in janurary we start cutting pampas grass. we cut several thousand, then straight into 3000 bales pine straw.

our only slow time is mid december, but this year we're replacing siding on our shop, and repainting, etc....

On commerical property that doesn't have rye we clean up parking lot as needed and keep area visable from street cleaned up. Unfortunately most of the time this is beyond what is in the contract but we don't want TG driving by and giving them an estimate because it looks upkept!
