Trying to post on my phone (Samsung), but when I click the "Reply" button at the top of the thread, the screen gets "greyed out" as though another box/window should appear for me to tye in, but... nothing.

I posted this via my laptop.

Edit:
Actually, I think what I clicked was a "Quote/reply" (with "word ballon" next to the word "Reply), so I'm not even seeng any place TO enter text to post in a thread.

EDIT: NEVERMIND! I'm an idiot. Apparently I was logged off and didn't realize it.

Carry on.

Oh, and PLEASE consider removing the TIME LIMIT for making edits to posts so things like this can be noted/corrected.

It is working the same way for me, which was why I mentioned that there should be a red alert icon out on my icon instead of having to click on mine to know I actually have an alert. You aren't alone.
I had to refresh the page, but a GREEN dot appeared on the upper corner of my avatar at the upper right of the page.

Clicking my avatar then showed a RED dot on the "bell" with a number indicating "likes".

We'll get it all figured out in time.

Hmmm not entirely sure I'm liking being railroaded into spending money all the sudden. Granted it's a small amount of money but it's kind of the principle of the matter.
We have a "paid-members only" section on an unrelated forum that I used to moderate.
People thought we were posting things about other people behind their backs and having wild parties in there or something. Ultimately, it went completely unused.
I doubt I'm missing out on anything.

Let's see if it does it again using my Samsung...

EDIT: haha! One click is all it took. This time.

EDIT #2: When I clicked "SAVE" to save my edit, IT DID IT AGAIN.
I had to click the save button 2 times. Clicking once changed the color as though it did "something" but I had to click it once more to complete the save.

"Alerts" used to be essentially one step - "See" the red dot with the number of alerts without even clicking anything. (I didn't bother looking if it were "2", but if there were say "6" alerts, I'd click to see what they were. Done.

NOW you have to refresh JUST to see if there ARE any alerts (I don't recall needing to do that before, but I could be wrong), THEN, you have to click the "Alerts", THEN you have to visually "count down the list" to see which "6" alerts are new because there's nothing to indicate what is new and what is old/already viewed.
It's tedious, and frustrating to have to look at the list and try to figure out what is worth looking at. Is it a "like"?, is it a reply to a subscribed thread? You have to sort it all out in your head because there's nothing there to indicate which is which, or what is new vs already looked at.

We are checking on this to see if it is happening on all sites, platform wide, or just on some sites, based on the color scheme
OK, but I'm not talking about the color of the "dot" at all.

There's nothing in the long list of "alert threads" to indicate what is new and what is old/already clicked on.

I would agree.
The "alerts" part is still absurd.
I thought I saw a background color change, but not now.

Getting tired of clicking just to see if there's even anything new to click on and then needing to visually count down the list to determine what's new vs what I've already read.

And having to click "post reply" one OR two times (totally random) makes me think I've posted, then hours later, when I'm wondering why my post was deleted, I realize it wasn't deleted, I simply hadn't clicked enough times to actually post.
