How many of you out there are actively involved in your community, in service clubs, chambers of commerce, and in volunteer roles? Upon moving from the big city (Toronto) to this little village in the woods, I quickly realized how important it would be to build networks and to employ network marketing to build my business. My involvement in the local Chamber of Commerce as a Director and then VP, as well as in the Lion's Club, Winter Carnival Chair, and other community service roles has proved invaluable in spreading the word and building long lasting networks. Now that winter is upon us, and things tend to slow down for a lot of us, it is a good time to take stock of your position in your community and see where you might invest some time and effort. It really can be a very effective means by which expand your business. If this thread goes anywhere, I will fill you in on a couple of initiatives that I found remarkably helpful in building my business and increasing our Name and Brand recognition in the community.
