Hello, I am building a 8x10 foot patio out of flag stone. There is a 120 cubic foot concrete slab already there that needs to be removed. I was planning on putting concrete foundation under the flag stone. Would a 6" slab be enough?

This makes no sence to me why would you remove a concrete foundation just to pour another??Unless it's for drainage reasons I would leave the old one down and put the flagstone down with a good compactable base on top of the existing concrete.

Yes 6" would be enough as long as you have a good solid base.

6" is overkill. for a patio that size 4" is plenty.

Are u setting the stone in cement after u pour the slab? 4" is all you need to do this, even if it were a patio of just concrete 4" is all you need.
