Well, for that last few years I have been wanting to transition more from mowing into fert and squirt and irrigation. Sad to say but it looks like it is going to get pushed back some more. After last years killer drought [Texas 2011] the only thing keeping me a float was the commercial mowing [and I was bailing water and using a snorkel at times]. This year I had a few more commercial mowing opportunities come my way and for the money I had to jump. This put me about 65 hours a week mowing so instead of growing the app side I had to decrease. Now we are back in a D3 drought in my area and do not know when it is going to get better and back to normal, if it does. I have been having another commercial account calling, one I used to do, and wanting a bid but I kept telling them I was full. Well the weather and a few other things have forced my hand, I gave them a bid and they accepted and even want to start contract Jan 1, 2013. Looks like I am going to be sending out letters dropping residential mowing and only keeping enough app customers to pay for the insurance and license. I am not a fan of Lemonade but what else do you do with them.
