This may not be applicable in commercial comparison although I wish they would do one on the big blowers as well. In the comparison they compared the following backpack blowers and rated them in the order shown:
#1 Husqvarna 145BT
#2 Makita RBL500
#3 Poulan Pro BP400
#4 Solo 470
#5 John Deere BP40
#6 Stihl BR340
#7 Echo Pro Lite PB260L
I was surprised that the big 3 were at the bottom of the comparison list. I still love my Stihl although I can't wait for them to come out with the "BR1000.
In any case I figured you guys would get a kick out of this comparison.
I just bought a Husqvarna 145BT yesterday. The only thing I don't like about it is the on/off switch on the handle, I must have bumped it 10 times yesterday amd have to restart it.
I have a couple of BT 155 ... good all round blower ... very lite blower .... but NO WAY can it touch a Redmax 7000 .... hands down this is the MOST powerful back blower on the market today (although I have not tried the big Echo)
The Husky does not have the air volume or speed to compare with others i have used.
The design is nice, in that it does not push the nozzle one way or the other. This is because the air is being piced up on the bottom and sent straight out. It is very strong, and can be thrown around without breaking parts. But i would get something else.
I really like the Maruyama blowers though.
Redmax probably isn't on there because Consumer Reports didn't think they were worthy.
Consumer Reports are the guys who say they don't accept advertising but they have a ad for some car pricing service on the home page. I may be wrong but that seems like advertising to me.
