$9.20 would be around my cost per app, per 1000. I do not count rounds, year round growing season.

I would love to reduce my cost to less than $1 per app per 1000!!! How do you get your rate so low?

Do you use CRU ferts or just 46-00-00?

Do you use label rates of chem or cut back?

How many lbs of N per app?

What brand of fert?

Maybe I pay too much for my fert and chem. I have shopped around but maybe not enough.

If you do not want to post this info pm me please!

Round one bermuda grass still fully dormant
24 oz. barricade/acre split app .51/1000
generic round-up .09/1000 to .17/1000 depending on rate.
3-way product .13/1000 to .26/1000 depending on rate.
That is .70/1000 to .94/1000

surfractant vary from Riggle's laundry detergent to high price organsilicates(obviously spelling incorrect) so price is to broad.

With round up so cheap right now why not skip the 3-way and spray round-up both round one and two just keep backing off the rate so to not hurt your bermuda. Never tried it but it would keep the cost down. Now round one is only .60/1000 to .68/1000

Oklahoman's dont use fertilizer in round one.

I personally think some people add way too much to there tank mix. Keep it simple and leave all the "NEW" over priced miracle herbicides alone. The old stand-by's always do the trick. The most sucessfull LCO I know is so old school he wont even talk about the NEW stuff with me.

I'm still young and mosy young people like new uptodate stuff, but I agree with you old school is some what the best. Most modern tech is all about money. I still do thing on the course that was done by in the days, before all of the new tech

You must shop around...and also consider I buy everything in bulk. Buy 3-Way in 250 gallon totes and buy multiple truck loads of fert at a time.

Hope that helps!

I don't post product prices on here but if you have any questions, please feel free and PM me.

I know. The kind of lawns I deal with are more like putting greens. Automatic irrigation and cut with a 7 or 10 blade reel mower. Its a different ballgame here. No riding mowers on my lawns unless they are triplex reel mowers.

We do 6 apps weed & feed and charge around $6-8 per k (high quality fert w/micro nutrients & 4-way weed control). Charge seperate for insect and disease at $9-13. We are in the middle to the lower end of prices in our area.

Below are my costs for a five step bluegrass program in zone 5, the first column represents the formula and product, the second column is my cost per bag, third column is the bag coverage, and the fourth column is my cost per 1000 sf treated.

Total program costs me $7.90 per 1000 sf to apply all five applications. THIS IS MY COST FOR THE PROGRAM NOT WHAT I CHARGE

Formula / cost per bag / coverage / cost per K

16-0-8 With Barricade .43 / $24.75 / 12,500 / $1.98
25-0-5 With MESA / $20.40 / 15,000 / $1.35
15-0-5 with Merit & MESA/ $23.42 / 11,420 / $2.05
25-2-5 with MESA / $20.40 / 15,000 / $1.35
28-0-5 with Nutripel / $16.25 / 14,000 / $1.15
