Just wondering if anyone has had luck posting their services on Craigslist.

Right now in our area, it's flooded with listings for Landscape accounts. We have been posting on there, but nothing yet.

Anyone have success here?

We got 4 new lawn installs last fall off of Craigslist. As far as maintenance, no luck. A lot of people on there advertising for lawn care. Willing to bet over 75% are not licensed or insured!

I have gotten some work from craigslist. When I get the call, I first give them a minimum price. i.e. I need a fall clean up. "Great Ma'am, our clean ups START at $225 for a 1/4 acre yard but maybe more depending on the condition of the yard"..they say...."oh no thank you...click"

Some say okay great. Can you please come by and give an estimate. That weeds out SOME of the price shoppers.

I have gotten 12 snow removal accounts from craigslist. over 12 lawn accounts and 3 spring and fall clean ups. Also 2 landscape projects Sure you deal with ppl that are just cheap and looking around. and you get alot of scammer but my experience has been pretty good as it has brought over $20,000 dollar worth of work my way.

Perhaps persistence pays off -- Assured Landscape, we're in your area and see your ad every day!
It pays off to post everyday or every other day. Works for me. I suggest that you keep your posting short and sweet. I see alot of posting that are so long and it takes forever to get to the point. Keep it short sweet and simple. Good Luck, btw what your company name?

We're Personalized Yard Maintenance -- You'll be seeing our post a lot -- we're chomping on the bit to get out there! We've been around since 1987, but are looking for more customers due to people moving, etc.

I just posted on craigslist for the first time this past week. I posted that I am ONLY looking for commercial accounts or a HOA. I posted that I was fully insured and have commercial equipment. My area is small and my craigslist town is also small. My chances are low, but I just lost a $26,000 HOA account and I have to kinda advertise for the first time in over 10 years. Not doing the newspaper route. So I thought maybe the craiglsit thing might lead to something.

PYM goodluck. Times are tough. We have only been around for a few years luckily i have alot of word of mouth. But craigslist has help tons. I also suggest you post in labor and moving and household services. Shoot me an email PYM would love to talk to you. maybe help each other out. because i get alot of big accounts that i cant yet handle that i could pass your way. Anyway shoot me an email. But my advice to all is that craigslist goes work. just because you dont get calls right away doesnt mean something wont come your way. remember short sweet and to the point is what atracts customers not an essay or 3 page report.!!:)

I think Craigslist is a waste. I played that game last year, and all I got were a ton of e-mails and a couple calls from price shoppers. I mean, it IS free advertising, but you do have keep posting it like every day or every other day, which to me seems too time consuming for what it is.
