Just to clarify when i say lawn pieces i am meaning a rock that is 4' long by 2' wide. Also there is a well pump about 3' in front of the rock.

What I was wondering is after I deweed the area tomorrow do I lay down weed block and them librally spread the mulch around the rock and the pump?

I would like to be edged as well not sure if I should use a boarder or not to dress it up a little more.......

Tomorrow is my 1st good day of weather this week so I planned on doing everything.

Let me know what I should do any help would be great...

Put down the fabric and a minimum of three inches of mulch over it.

Alot of times, you can weed eat the bigger weeds and just lay the fabric and mulch over them. Or even just leave them alone. Without sunlight they will die.

Along the perimeter and near the pump edge pull the weeds out as you expected.

I don't know if you want to put down a pre-emergent along the perimeter and by the pump, or if it is hot enough (70f) you can spray a bit of round-up or 2,4-D which isn't heat dependent.

I like to work smarter, not harder.
