Well, one of my good customers (an older couple), is putting their house up for sale. Anyway, when I heard this I offered to buy his 1965(?) Cub Cadet 125 Tractor w/12HP Kohler engine. It has the 48"(?) 3 blade deck with one bad spindle. I would like to have a small tractor like this for pulling tarps full of leaves, plowing snow etc. Anyway, how much would you pay for it? I'd say it's in good cosmetic condition, and does run, but needs a tune up.

I have a customer who just gave me one of these...about the same exact tractor. I think this one is about the same year. Runs like a chamo, just needs a new pto clutch. I was just going to get it mowing and get rid of it to someone that can use it. He says it mows great. he brought over an MTD pushmower, too. Nothing wrong with it, it just has a bent wheel or two, like someone stood on the deck or something.

My situation is different down here since they are in very limited #'s

I put a in 14 hour trip and $500 to get a Cub Cadet 149 last year.

Good condition and with a deck.

These things pull like a "mofo" with some 23X10.50X12 Tru Power tires.

I would say 3 to 4 hundred only if the engine is in good shape and no smoking or rattles. The old K series engines with the balance gears will go to rattling with high hour use.
