I,don't have alot of money! it sound like a song.I thought about buying a walk behind, until i saw a LT2180 it has the transmission of a garden tractor, tran takes7 qts and filter to boot.Hor -18hp v-twin vanguard-shaft drive. and the power to ride me up some hills.I,m not consumed with time. Iwill use this to start my business.everthing seem solid on this tractor for the price$2,599.one man crew, some one got to ride!

Is this a lawn tractor or a ZTR? If it's a tractor then you would be far more productive with a walkbehind/sulky combo. you should be able to get a belt drive walk and sulky for about the same $$ and really cut your mowing and trimming time.

One dirty word you should take heed of- MTD! Cub Cadet is owned by MTD. I'm not a lawn care guy. I do tractor work and some landscaping. But I've done a fair amount of lurking on the lawn care forum and it seems like lawn tractors have no place in either lawn care or landscaping. If it were me, for the same money, I'd look for a decent used 36" walkbehind and have some cash left for a good trimmer and blower. Stihl, Echo, Redmax, Shindaiwa, something like that, NOT Craftsman, Weedeater, Homelite or Troy-bilt.

hosejockey2002,

Cub Cadet does make some fine commercial equipment. Have you looked at their ZTR mowers and their walkbehinds? Also, MTD makes Lesco mowers and many others too.

well I 'm gald i bought the tractor 2180 cc new in late march, being that i live in the most hilly place in Pa. with a walk behind ,I would have gotten left behind.I have now 200 hard hour on it, no problems.cuts great with a nice strip! well I proved you all wrong! The vanguard 18 hp engine is fine!!! I run with high lift blades, and gators, juast though that I should up-date 1st year in the business.I'm doing ok!

I used a 3235 Cadet before I bought my M60 Tank.

Cut was as good as the Z, and striped nice also.

Only thing I didn't like was the steering is a little sloppy from the factory. Makes it hard to hold a nice straight line. :nono:
