Cub Cadet Pro Z....how reliable are they now?

From my reading it seems the commercial Cub Cadet's that were built in the 2000's/early 2010's were fairly hit-and-miss and could be quite unreliable, compared to many of the competitors like Wright, Toro/Exmark, etc. (although prior to that in like the 1980's they were great).

When they launched the most recent Pro Z line it was suggested that they were really trying to get back into the commercial operator's good books again.

That was a few years ago now and I'm sure some people in this forum has had experience with them in recent years and could speak to this...?

Any thoughts / impressions on their reliability nowadays compared to some of the more popular brands like Scag, Toro, etc?

MTD/Cub is in the process of changing ownership, and not for the good. They might have a good machine now, but Stanley Black and Decker has taken a 20% ownership in MTD. They have an option to purchase more. SB&D is known for cutting quality and going into all the big box stores they can get into. I don't think this looks good for future Cub products. Be very careful.

I sold my proz160 this spring with 1400 hrs on it still running like a champ. Guy that bought it from me loves it. Still running another proz160 and added 2 proz154"s. We cutt 110 lawns a week and never had any big issue. All have had the kohler efi.
