This is not a regular customer. She is next to 4 others we take care of. She asked us for a price to clean up the leaves in another 2 weeks once they are all down. They are about 60% down now. This lawn is about maybe 6000 square feet.

    What would you charge?

A yard that size I would blow all the leaves into the yard then mow and bag them. I use 55gal bags. I charge regular mow cost for that size yard plus $6/bag collected. I got pretty good at estimating how many bags may be picked up. usually works out to $60/hour.

It is wooded behind all these lawns so we blow all the leaves back into the woods.

Holy cow man are you serious? We told her $100 and she tried to talk us down. I figure we should be able to do it in a little less than an hour with 2 guys. One with a redmax 8500 and me with the 14hp push blower.

Well if you could blow all the leaves into the bed in the back it wouldn't be that bad. I'd use my walker and bag what I could and dump back there. Then blow anything left over. Now if the wind was cooperating and blowing towards the back bed I'd just blow. I might be at 60-80, but can't see the back or other side. It looks pretty small.

We normally continue cleaning up leaves on the same mowing schedule. So theoretically it extends our mowing season til Christmas. We normally charge weekly customers the same thing to mow as we do to get up leaves. Lately I've been considering keeping that policy, but if they were every 10 day or 2 week mow customers doing leaf clean up at an hourly rate.

At the lawns current state it would be about 100-150. At the final clean up and with the other trips you made there previously, then yes 400 would be pretty darn close. What worries me is the neighbors trees. Is his leaves gonna overwhelm your front lawn? So thats where my 400 comes from.

Nice pic the beds are basically nonexistent. It's a easy clean up I'd get about $250 and that would include the final cut for the season as well. I do 6 or more of these per day in fall.

I'm not going to give you a price however I will tell you that we do not ever do "wait until they all drop cleans". That is a recipe for disaster. Add rain to many layers of leaves and that price you give looks very small. My terms are I will show up once a week, every week until all the leaves are down. I charge XX.XX per visit and will do a quick blow out every week and a thorough clena the last visit. I don't haul or bag leaves. My method is mulch and if the debris is too heavy a quick run with the Walker makes it look good and the debris stays on site. Price accordingly. Good Luck.
