Good idea, some of us all have those annoying holes in the sides of the buckets anways, and others use their blades like damn bull dozers, now you could also try that with a tilt bucket too.

there's a guy out there that makes/sells these things......think they are called "grade blades". makes them for mini's to the big boys.....yep, that's it www.gradeblade.com

When they finished demo on the houses along kingsway before the crystal was built. They had a EX300 with an I beam mounted in a similar fashion and used it to grade out 4 city blocks of land. They they did there final surveying/marking. I should dig up my pictures of the excavation. They dug the whole site 5 floors down. 50 truck and ponies running full time.

I believe dirtman has two or three I beams for the same purpose. I know he has one for the volvo and possibly one of the mini's.

Huh? I will do anything to make sure I have a thumb there west coaster! I will admit though, it seems like out west you dont skimp on thumbs, couplers and buckets!

Yes I have a 9' grading blade for both big excavators. Made out of 1" I-beam!
