Just wondering what most compaines cut the grass at this time of year?
3.25-3.75 depending on the lawn and the customer.
i normally cut @ 3-3.25 in the summer, but fall I drop it down to 2.5" to help with the leaves. It will also dry out and warm up faster in the spring if the grass isn't long.
It really depends on your region....here in Atlanta, most of the lawns are Bermuda or Zoysia and Most LCO are cutting anywhere from 1.5 to 3....I am still around 3 right now on most my lawns that I didnt seed with Rye grass, just to make sure my schedule runs through Dec on those....I saw a guy today scalping...just shook my head....guess he is tired of making money....
here on the southern oregon coast i cut 3 inches in spring/summer, and ive recently been doing alot of my properties at 2 1/2 inches.
