Hey, I am connecting two beds and making a real big bed. The grass in the middle needs to be ripped up. There is too much for just hand removal. What kind of machine can I use to get under the established grass and remove it?

sod cutter. you can rent them. Are you planting in the new bed area or is it just going to be mulch. You could spray it, wait, trim it and mulch or till the dead grass. Many possibilities just depends on what the end result needs to be.

It's going to be stone in one bed, mulch in the other. I think I will check out the price for renting a sod cutter because the owner didn't seem to care about the possibility of renting something. Also, spraying would take some time and I am pretty sure he just wants it finished. Thanks for the help!
