My DC the last few days has had some issues that I dont know if they are tied together?First my blade engagement belt fell off while on my trailer(seems pretty loose) and now im losing rpms when cutting thick grass?is my belt just not tight enough,Ive also smelled a little rubber burning,Thanks in advance to all that reply.. once the rpms go down a little I can sit and wait a second and they will go back up.. Im using the G6 blades which have been on all year with no problems just takes a few extra seconds to get to full rpms.

If you've smelled rubber it's likely time for a new belt, But...... Check your hydro belt as well. Make sure the hydro belt idler arm is positioned straight up/down (pulley 1.25" off the frame), Then install the new deck drive belt and make that adjustment with the rod/spring on the triangle plate. Adjust so the handle snaps into place.

The rear deck belt guides should be adjusted 1/8" to 3/16" forward of the pulley and away from the belt when engaged, Also lube the triangle plate and all moving deck engagement parts to assure proper tensions.

The proper belt is a B85 RAW edge, Anything else is a waste of time and money.......
