Thanks for the tips. I plan to go back in 4 weeks to spot seed and hit areas that are not coming in and I could check on the weeds than. Being it's such a small area, I do plan to remove all the dead grass first. Which will hopefully also loosen the soil atleast a little bit. Thanks again.
Dead lawn help please
I have a customer with a very small front lawn. She sprayed the lawn with a weed killer last fall and now the entire lawn is dead. I was going to rake out/remove the dead grass and reseed and starter fert. Anything else I should do. No machine rentals because she is on a very small budget and it is only a few hundred square feet. Should I add a fresh layer of top soil or leaf compost? For some reason has to be done by this weekend. Thanks in advance.
