How many of you out there that cut yards (fee per service) instead of a fixed monthly charge are doing poorly this year becouse of the continued draught. The past 2 years have to be the worst I can remember, due to lack of rain. With all the grass cutters in my area, acquiring good new customers is almost impossible. Do you all also see 15 to 20 other lawn services just driving 15 miles thrugh town. This makes me want a new job sometimes; people in other fields are making more then me and have less worries.

I'm in East TN and there is not much that is still green here. This year has been horrible. I can't complain about last year though, it was probably one of my best yet.
We have also seen a great increase in the number of people starting to mow lawns. I think the county I live in is keeping MTD in business, that is all the new people are running around with. It seems as if every truck has a trailer with a MTD walk-behind on it. Oh well, I have done all I feel I can do.
