Dealing with walnuts

Does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with fallen walnuts? What's the best way to deal with these things before mowing? Is there any easy way to pick these up or vacuum them up somehow? I hate the idea of abusing my blades while mowing over these things. I guess I'll simply have to charge a pickup and disposal fee prior to mowing. Any ideas?

The pick up disposal fee sounds like a good idea.

Try a lawn sweeper. I use one in my own yard for walnuts, pine cones and pine needles.
