debris gaurd? on or off

    how many people mow with the debris gaurd up or off and how many mow with it down? Just wondering.

    I leave mine on. I put it down when it is windy out so I don't get a face full of grass clippings. Other than that it stays up and out of the way.

    I mow with it off simply because it spreads out the grass more and prevents a lot of clumping. I can get in a few more places with the mower as well. It's not as safe, I've shot a plastic bottle clear across 4 lanes of traffic before. Luckely I didn't hit any cars. This is with a bobcat 48" WB.

    Ditto..... mine is in the up position 90% of the time.

    took mine off before i even cut my first lawn with it

    tennis balls fly when i hit them with the walk behinds
