I have te 16hp Giant Vac, good machine, sucked off an employees looses sweat pants one time. lol
I have the hitch mount but I think their better mounted on the front end of a trailer for dumping purposes.

That is a very nice setup indeed! I would beat that was the last time that employee wore sweat pants during leaf cleanups.

I have a 16hp hi-way tailgate leaf vac and I do not find it underpowered what so ever. I have it mounted in front of my truck, and it has more than enough power to get them up and over my cab into the box. I think 16hp is probably the biggest you can get for tailgate or hitch mount. good luck.

Here is mine. Lesco model (Salsco) Was the cheapest and had the highest cfm rating out of the 3 I looked at.
Has the swing hitch. <img src="">

nice set up. I also love that trailer color to match your truck. Is that a Big Tex?

Yes it was a Big Tex. It was only a 5X12, sold it last fall.

Hey Bruce, I am looking to buy one this year too. Like KS said Lesco is a nice machine. Around here it is around $600 cheaper than the Billy Goat (both 16HP). The swing away hitch is also alot less money. Check them out.

I have used a 16hp billy goat for the past 5 years. I grew out of it about a year ago. We do large cleanups in my area, and I found it just taking too much time. If you are using it on an 8'-12' bed, I don't see it being a problem. If you are running a bigger truck than I would look into a larger unit. :D
