we are adding lawncare next spring and have found a dixon 5021 commercial that is used but it is in decent shape. is this a reliable mower or would i be better off to hold off another season and buy a new one with a warranty.i am leaning toward purchasing it. which i can easily pay it off in 90 days so i dont have a payment for our first season.i have heard bad feedback about dixon. that is my only concern.some say dixon commercial is just an over priced residential mower. thanks for your input.

Look into Hustler or Scag. I'm sure you can find a used commercial unit for a fair price!

My only experience with Dixon is seeing a few on display at my dealer. They look to me as if they are geared more towards the homeowner market. My first thought when I saw one was how shallow the stamped deck was. I would also recommed looking at a 'true' commercial mower such as Scag, Exmark, etc. for commercial purposes. Remember, you usually get what you pay for.
