deck building question /code

    Just throwing this out there. I'm sure some if you do your fair share of deck building.
    I'm hoping to add a section to my deck. The only problem is that the heater vents run right where my deck would go. I'm guessing I couldn't put a bend in them or run them under the deck???

    Dont run it under the deck if something gets in it it would be hard to clean. Aslo run the risk of the pipe icing up in the winter.

    Or do you mean dryer vents??

    By code, dryer vents are not allowed to have any more than one or two 90-degree bends. Which most likely it already has them. I forget the exact code, but I know a code does exist.

    No. Dryer is on 2nd floor. I believe they are from the water heater and the furnace.

    So yes, he meant "heater vents"
