Anyone using VB lids that look like rocks? I am looking for ones that are more flat than the tall ones. We are doing an install that is getting busy with VB's, pump vaults, filter lids, etc.

Personally, I think fake rocks look worse than regular valve box lids, but thats just me, I can spot one from 100 feet away.

Something I've seen work well if you have dark mulch, is to use black lids from Water Meter boxes.

You could also cover them slightly, and put something on top to mark the spot (potted plant?)

If you only would compact those manifolds a bit, you wouldn't have so many valve boxes to worry about :p

There are some new ones that are life-like (they are even quite heavy) but tall. I couldn't tell it was fake, even up close.

I'm leaning towards covering them with the mulch. The area is small and we'll have a good as-built...
