We demoed a Hurricane Blower today and all I can say is WOW. If you aren't familiar, its a stand on blower that resembles a Wright Stander. One area that took my guys about 3 hours to clean a couple weeks ago, we completed the blowing portion in roughly 20 minutes. This thing has time savings written all over it. While it has a steep price tag, I think with the time savings it will pay for itself in a year with all of the leaf removal we do, and then also being used on parking lot clean ups. Blowing power is just insane.

Anyone else used one of these machines?

I haven't but it sounds like you made up your mind already. :) It would work great on parking lots.

The thing has overpriced waste of cash written all over it. Just my opinion though. :)

I have 7 full crews working on our horse farms and other commercial accounts in our area doing leaf removal. Its a nasty job that we hate, but it pays big for us.

1 Crew is 4-5 guys. I'm not sure, but I think I can get than down to 2 guys with that unit. one blowing out bushes and landscaping with a backpack, and the other on the Hurricane. Then both use the loader and get out of there. Just running numbers like I always do so still not sure if that would work, but it could in theory. . I was quoted the Hurricane at $9500

Big Time Savings + Less man-hour pay, insurance, etc. Really need to use it for a full day to see what it will do, but for the hour or so we demoed My crew chiefs and I were amazed. I keep saying $9500 for a blower!!!???

But if it saves time and money, then I'm always interested.

seen it at the expo, did you use the leaf loader attachment w/ it? great concept it would pay for itself in a leaf season

The only downfall I see is that I bill per man hr and you will drastically reduce the billable hours.
