disconnect the wire going to the trailer, should be blue.take a test light and run it from the end of the blue wire coming off the controler and the other end to ground, slide the lever all the way over and see if the light turns orange/red, if it does problem is in the wiringafter the controler, if not then the problem is the controller.
different brake controler problem
I just got a new trailer with brakes I have in the distent past hooked the controlers up that had a tap going to the brake lines. how ever this one is an electronic one.
I hooked it up as standard
one wire ground
one to positive
one to down side of brake light switch
one to trailer.
It now works when I push the pedel but it will not work if I push the "lever" over.
the "green" light does not come on till I push the brakes. Then changes to progressivly darker shades of orange.
