I was given a Stihl 028 AV Wood Boss ChainSaw. It has a scored cylinder. My dilema is should I buy a Jug & Piston Assembly & then sell this saw ?

Kinda undecided on this one. Original parts will possibly be expensive.

fix it and keep the saw. the 028 is a well known tough saw, parts for ANY stihl aint cheap, but they're worth it, since most of those saws last practically forever.

Ditto the above, fix it and keep.

Naw, it's junk. Send it to me and I'll properly dispose of it for you:drinkup:

was it diagnosed by an internal inspection or by feel? i came across an echo chainsaw that supposedly had a scored cyclinder but i gave it a little bit of oil in the cylinder and it freed right up. im now trying to decide which of my saws that i want to keep.
