Ditchwitch XT850

    Dose anyone use these, if so how are they? They look like a neat little machine and verry versitle. Any info would be helpful. Thanks Dan

    They are so neat to watch, if you can get a demo, it'll be something to behold.

    But I'd say the bigger 1600 is a better bet with more attachment possiblities and a full cab.

    they are diffrent but i haven't seen anyone use them. as i remember they are pretty high priced. also, doesn't have the highest ground speed. i would be curious to hear how they fit in someones bussiness as well.

    I demoed a XT1600 this summer, and I took some pictures, comparing it in size to my skidsteer. I really liked the machine, but they are pricy. The XT850 is priced around $25000 I think, and is the perfect size for landscaping. The one I demoed was in the 50K range. It's a really neat machine, and if I had the chance to start over, it would be the machine I'd go with. I'll try and post some pictures this weekend,or sometime soon, as we are on the eve of a potential ice storm. The mini skid hot rod was a project done by Ditch Witch engineers as a publicity machine, and as a fun project to learn more about high flow hydraulics. Must be rough working in "monster garage".
