I am looking at a used 50" at my dealer, what are the pros and cons from those who have used them on residential, I am talking large suburban yards, 1/3 to 3/4 acre?

I use my dixie only on large residential yards. They are very touchy you can spin out really fast and thats not good. Mine sucks on hills. I mostly use my john deere and scag on residentials. If the dixie is to be ran I only run it. If youre out to buy on spend a little more and get a 60'' deck. You will be happy you done so.

Yes they are good machines. Yes there are better choices for certain applications.
