I was wondering what the extent of everyone's business was. Do any of you guys do shrub and tree care too, or ornamentals? I want to add on too my business and was wondering what is another prosperous segment of applications?

We do. Ferts & sprays. Many variables, but basically the whole shebang. (been doing T/S since late 70's).

If you get into spraying trees I would be careful about one thing. If you need to get full coverage on a really tall one your going to need a lot of pressure from a hose. Two things can happen.

    1. You miss the tree for just a second and the jet carries the fence into the neighbors yard.

    2. You don't miss but the product drips down the tree as it should. Only part of the tree overhangs the neighbors.

The first will always get you popped by the enforcement guys. In our state the second is allowable if the neighbor does not mind the dripping. As always check you your state's enforcement agency

The 2nd one happened out here a few years back. Only it was summer and the neighbor's teenage daughter was out back in a itty-bitty bathing suit and got a mid-day shower of a restricted use insecticide. for som ereason her dad wasn't real happy about that.
