Dodge 2500/3500 Gasser Towing Capacity

I am possibly looking at buying a new truck. It will either be a Ford or Dodge. I know all about these trucks except for the hemi version of the Ram. I'm probably going to go diesel, but don't want to rule out a gasser too quick. What is the towing capacity for a Ram 2500 with a hemi and the 4.10 axle? I'm looking to pull around 11K or so. I'm a Ford guy at heart, so i can't even believe I'm asking this!

11,000#s, I'd surely go with the diesel.

A 2500 dodge would work with that weight okay but I have one word for you - POWERSTROKE!!! Do yourself a favor and go diesel.

I am pretty sure I'm going with a Powerstroke, they are just hard to find in my price range. I'm trying to get an '07 leftover. I'm just considering all options. If I got a Ram it would probably be a single can 8' bed or a quad cab 6.5' bed.

An '07 wouldn't be a leftover yet would it?

Ford is a year ahead, the '08s have been out. A '07 Dodge is new.
