Does anybody try to help their employees find winter jobs?

I was wondering if anybody tries to help find their employees jobs when they are no longer needed? We are down to our last few days of leaf jobs and an employee of mine that has worked for me off and on for 5 years is way down on his luck personally! I know he has been looking for a job for a few months now. At this point he can't even get McDonald's to call him back. He is two semesters away from finishing up his teaching degree. However, at this point he can't afford to finish that.
So does anybody have any suggestions on how I can help?

Yes, I help find mine jobs if they need it. Just simply doing some of the legwork...making some calls etc. If he's in college, he needs to contact the career office. Many employers recruit through the colleges even for seasonal work.

Thanks, I think he has already tried to get a job through the college. I guess you are right, I could just start calling around for him.
