I'm thinking about buying a 6.5 HP Praxis Stump Grinder for grinding small stumps about 6" to 9" in diameter. Would also use it for large shrub stumps that I can't pull out with my truck because of access problems. I know it is too small for larger stumps, but was wondering if anyone has one that they use for small stumps. Does it work OK and are you satisfied with it? I was also considering a 13 HP walk behind Praxis, Rayco or Carlton, but the 6.5 HP weighs only a little over 100 pounds and I could put it in the back of my pick-up by myself and wouldn't need a trailer. The 13 HP I would have to use a trailer unless I had someone to help me load it on the pickup. I also looked at the Alpine Magum, but they are $4,000. The Praxis is almost half that price.
