Apparently this is FB's big announcement: http://gizmodo.com/5976014/facebook...gle-meet-your-new-search-engine-updating-live So they'll be offering what sounds like a strictly social search - whereas Google has integrated SOME social markers in their results, this is pulling results straight from my FB friends. I personally don't think I'm likely to use it instead of Google, since I'm usually looking for obscure info (galvanized connector ratings, cultivar names, etc) that my FB friends wouldn't know. BUT, it sounds like this could take the place of the people who post "hey, anyone know a good landscape designer?" Instead (if I'm understanding this correctly), someone types in "landscape designer" and it pulls results based on pages your friends like, probably weighted towards active pages/pages your friends have interracted with. I don't know how successful this will be; personally, I'm more likely to trust Chowhound for restaurant reviews than my FB friends. But if it is, it probably means at least blowing the cobwebs off your FB page once a month isn't a bad idea.
