Thanks Mowingman, I thought I read here they did, but couldn't get info from the deere website, I will admit I would be surprised if they did make them.....But had to ask to be sure lol.

Would this be the New 7 Iron 11 deck I wander?
On the deere website is says the gas engined mowers come with a 7 Iron 11 deck, but not the 997, waddayareckon?
Could be the mulch on demand deck already in production?

The mulch on demand deck is already in production here, came out in the summer. But still is hard to find at least here anyway. I'm not sure if it is the same as the 7 Iron 2, maybe they just renamed it. But I do know its only available in a 60" deck right now.

Oh, hang on....read somewhere here yesterday deere is making a deck with an adjustable front baffle.....whether like a scag, or like a toro I don't know, but that could be a great deck for blokes like me.
hmmmmm, sounds like there is some innovative ideas coming into play, nice!
looks like my new replacement will have the old deck, oh well, that's ok too....be nice to fluke the new model dek though, but I don't think at this time it is even an option on the 997.....not having a choice is less confusing ha ha ha.

Last I heard you can only get the Mulch On Demand deck on the 757's but I'm sure thats going to change. I thought about getting one of these decks next year but I'm afraid I will not like it and I do like the regular 7 Iron decks for sure. Just seems like alot of moving parts under there.
