I dont understand what you are asking...are you asking if they need to be on your truck when not mowing or something?
to drive around with signs on your truck, do you need commercial plates
and do you need them in general when pulling a trailor full of gear....
It would probly depend on your state but out here all I see is combination plates on F250/2500 and commercial plates on F350+/3500+.
Here in Michigan, a commercial vehicle needs to be titled under the business name in order to have insurance cover any claims resulting from business use. Commercial auto insurance also tends to be cheaper than personal auto insurance, especially if you are young like I am (25).
It would be pretty brutal to get in an accident and find out that your personal auto policy won't cover it because the vehicle was being used for business purposes.
