I also agree per application doesn't sound right. I would go with per visit. Or per month if you wanted to go that route. Also if you do want to give away a free month I would specify something like "3rd month free" so atleast you get something out of them if they drop you after the first free month. BUT I would recommend giving away an extra service, so that you aren't cutting into your regular profits. Give them something they want, but don't give away money that they are already willing to give you. This year with new customers who sign up for weekly lawn mowing I am giving away a free fertilizer application (limited to 15k sq ft). My cost will be $15 max and it will take no more than ten minutes. Speaking of which I would put something on there that says "new customers only" Unless of course you don't currently have any customers. Also putting call now would help a little bit. And one last thing change "See Offers On Back" to "See promotional offers on back" or better yet "See our money saving offers on back Limited time offer call today"

Just my advice, take it or leave it. But I'm interested in seeing the final draft if you could post it.

LawnChamp, for a call to action, I have "Respond by May 1st for discounts". Is that good enough? Do you have suggestions for other wording? Do you use just "Call Now!"?

CLS, I like your idea of giving away something else. Maybe I'll change it to the fertilizer like you suggested. Or maybe some mulch. I will change the wording to "See promotional offers on back"

We have learned to be very clear with what you want people to do, ie; do you want them to email your, fax you, tell the operator the coupon #, call you, pick which offer they want, you get the idea.

Something else that goes right along with your call to action, (where you tell them what you want them to do) is telling them what they are going to get for doing what you are asking (get your free blah blah blah). Call Now is pretty powerful, likewise internet marketing uses Buy Now, or Add to Cart which are both pretty powerful call to action phrases.

I don't know what you are paying for those, but they look very inexpensive and not very professional. I don't want to offend you, but sometimes you get what you pay for. You should consider www.plan-itgraphics.com. The cost might be a little more but the finished product is SOOO worth the money. Bob(plan-it) does all my stuff and I can't say enough good things about him.

He advertises on the site now, if you spend more than $500 you even get free biz cards.

I want to let you know something you may or may not know, but by physically writing something on your door hangers with a sharpie marketer any color (Blue works best) you will dramatically increase your conversion rate of that marketing piece. We would always put the sales persons initials on the door hanger somewhere, and people would always call and say whats the "TP" or whatever stand for? Which for us it was a code to see who left the door hanger..... for you it may just be, something random on the card that gets noticed, and ultimately makes someone call you. For instance on your offers side pick one of your offers and draw a star next to it and it big letters write "Best Deal in Town". In other businesses I have tested this with postcards, sales letters, envelopes, and in the green industry door hangers with much success.

I think the free month is a little crazy. That can put a serious dent in your income if you have a whole bunch of customers using that. maybe think about doing something like __% off one months service and put a * by it and at the bottom put *with seasonal service. I'll PM you my doorhangers I jsut got printed. DOORHANGERSETC.COM was the best in price and the guys stayed late two nights in a row to get my free proof the way I wanted it. The guys name is Haydn and he will design it for free and help you as much as you need it.
