When your using double blades, how do the measurements changes? 3inches on the deck heighth is now what? I do a lot of lawns that I know exactly the height I need that's not going to scalp,so I kind of need exact measurements.

All your adding is the thickness of a blade, probably 3/16 to a 1/4 inch. Your new ht would be 2 3/4

Set your mower at 3 inches and then put a tape measure under it and check it. Did you check it before you put the doubles on? You have to remember, if you set it at 3 inches and after a few years of mowing, each link in chains can wear a 1/16 of an inch and just 4 links can total up to 1/4 inch of wear to drop it a full 1/4 inch. All the wear points all add up so I bet it is not 3 inches now.

Even tire presure makes a difference in your cutting highths so make sure the tires are all at the proper settings before doing any measurements. While you are at it, make sure the deck has proper pitch and is level left to right. :)
