Never run double blades before, thinking of giving it a try to reduce clipping size. how is this accomplished? do you just stack two bolt it up and call it a day? or does it get more complicated, like having to make sure they are perfectly perpendicular to each other? If i go this route it'll probably be a regular lift on bottom and gator on top.

Maybe just put the mulch kit on....we run it year round on ours. Probably not many people run 2 blades on these spindles. They wear out quick.

I run doubles on my wb around 50% of the time. I run a Gator, and a highlift in a + pattern. The only time I have had them move while in use, is when I have hit a nice size stump.

Gators leave a horrible cut for me, but shred the clippings great. The high lifts leave a good cut, but I wanted better cut clippings. Now I have both.

I have a Manuel PTO on my mower, so I just ease the blades on, unlike a electric one where it hits hard. I see no difference on belt life, and have not replaced a spindle in the 8 yrs I have owned my mower.
