I am due to overseed my lawn on sept 1. My local supplier recommends, "after broadcasting the seed, allow plugs to dry and use a drag to work seed into soil to promote vigorous root growth."

    1. What is a drag net?

    2. Can you make one of these?

    3. Is it necessary?

Basically, they are pretty much just a square piece of chain-link fence you drag over the lawn with a tractor or riding mower. I made mine. Got a piece of 4x5' fence material from a local fence company. They gave it to me, it was a scrap end. Ran a piece of flat steel stock through one end, and wired it on. Chain and S-hook to pull it.
