I know this is an geographic area specific question. What is the cheaper driveway surface. Concrete pavers or Blacktop asphalt. Who knows square foot pricing. I'm just curious. I dont care where you are from.

In new jersey asphalt driveways are going for $2.50 per square foot. Paver driveways 8-12 per square foot -- all depends on who doing it.

Greenwich is more of an "I don't care what it costs as long as it looks better than my neighbor's" kind of town.

That being said, You will always pay more for brute labor than you will for technology (equipment) that does a job.

As said the blacktop will be much cheaper now, but the pavers when properly installed will be cheaper after 40 years. Only if you repave your driveway every 10 years. Most people around here ride it out for a lot longer.
