you hear more about cancer each day.and with me applying granular fertilizer i am getting concerned...
i read the lable and m.s.d.s. sheet and not much is said about the use of a respirator.
1.how many of you guys use one?
    2. how much application do you do?
    3. what brand do you use?
i know my health is first and i do not wont to look like ghost-busters out there.

Cancer is always a concern. I don't know much about the use of dust masks with granular, but it can't hurt. When everyone said that it was OK to watch the atomic blasts and not one would get hurt (our government wouldn't lie to you). Lots of my father's friends die later of cancer.

Better to be safe than sorry.

By the way, in the pesticide class I took the text showed the parts of the body where pesticide contamination occurred by percentage/body part. Guess where the greatest occurred? Not respiratory. The genitalia.

Because I use a ride on unit to spread fert I am sitting lower to the ground. I use a dust mask all the time. Better safe than sorry. Breathing any kind of dust is not good. In dry season I see people wearing dusk masks when mowing==not a dumb thing to do. I have a good life I would like it to be a long life.
