    Is it easy to install a controller for electric brakes on a 99 chevy 2500. And is it necessary.

    It depends on what size trailer your pulling. I'd say 6x12 and up, I'd have E-brakes on.

    On a 3/4 ton you have good size rotors and pads for stopping. If your only hauling a few mowers i wouldnt full with it. But you can get a controller and even installed for little more than 100.00 any thing heavier get one. My new ford 350 i got the tb option it is very nice and works more smoother than any box i have ever purchased.
