Chef...

The Echo HC-150 is an excellent hedge clipper! Very lightweight and commercial duty. I have used the HC-1500/150's for a long time with great success!

If you do a ton of hedges buy the HCR-150 with the rotating handle....makes life a lot easier and it is only $50 more!

PS. Buy your hedge clipper from a local dealer and you will have better parts and service support in the long run!

Somebody stole my Redmax hedge trimmers last fall. I looked at the new Redmax's w/ anti vibration handles and thought they were a little too heavy and a little too pricey. I ended up buying the Echo HC150's. They are every bit as good as the Redmax that they replaced and the handle set up is more comfortable. I give them a big 2 thumb's up!!! The best part is the price $299 !!!! Thats $125 less than the Redmax

Chef,

You should buy the HC-150 from a local servicing dealer! You will pay the same price $249 for the non rotating handle and have the parts and service support that you need.

Same price, better service = no brainer!!...stay away from the box stores whenit comes to equipment!

I have one also. Very nice clippers. I have two years on them now. I paid $269 for mine. I priced a set of single sided Stihl clippers, and I think they were $369. The Echo is a great set of clippers for the money.

HC150 is an excellant clipper. have used them for many years with out any problems. after a couple hours of trimming it certainly isn't light. The exhaust being on the left side of the machine spits exhaust gas in your face. it's 4 times faster than manual clippers. you should support your locall dealer b/c the only thing you get from Home Depot is a stupid look and I dunno, go to your local dealer.

walked out today with an HC 150 Echo for $175.00!

It was on a markdown rack of used/returned equipment but, everything on it is looks brand new, yeah-baby!, :cool2: I'm happy!!

Now it's time for the COLTS!!!

Mine was $249... I love it, the handle is great. I need new blades though, they got bent when the guys were jacking around with them trying to cut roots with it :realmad:

Other than that, its a great hedge trimmer, I was going to get the stihl, but the echo had the rotational handle which is awsome! So I opted for the echo. :cool2: :waving:

Oh and after holding it for an hour or so, its not light! But then again, maybe its just me.
