I have an Echo PB-500H that needs a new piston and ring/s. Mine only has one ring, but when I search for the parts, I find pistons with 2 rings. Are they replacing the single ring with 2 or do I need to find one with just one ring? Thanks!

one ring......what is wrong with piston?
One of the reeds broke and the piston ate it. Already had another cylinder, just trying to figure out this ring issue. In the only owner of this blower, so I know it didn't have 2 rings originally and was changed to one. So why all the pistons for this blower being sold with 2 rings?

Could be a superseded thing.
Call her local Echo dlr and ask about it.
Or contact Echo thru their website.
Are u looking up the parts on Echo's official website? They gots a pretty good parts lookup.
A lot of them other sites for various mfgs. Claim to be the real deal, with logos and such, but ain't.

The early PB500 used reeds and had one ring. The first PB500t/h units didn't use reeds and used one ring then switched to two. Try searching pb500 (no t/h).
