Hi All,
I've got an Echo SRM-225. When you point it down, at a "regular" angle, it will stall out. If you hold it parallel to the ground, it will run fine. Here's a video demonstrating this:
I took it to the dealer and told them it was stalling out. They thought it was a dirty carb, cleaned the carb, and gave it back to me. Still stalling out--so I experimented with it a little more and figured out that it stalls when it's pointed down at a regular angle, but if you hold it parallel to the ground, it will run forever. I shot the above video as "proof" of the behavior.
I also noticed the stalling behavior only started after the dealer replaced the ignition coil and fuel lines a few weeks ago. They replaced the ignition coil because I was having an issue with it running for 30 to 40 minutes, die, and you couldn't get it to start until it had sat for hours. Whether or not they really fixed that issue, I can't say, because it stalls constantly and I can't use it for any length of time.
Thoughts on what could be going on here? Should I suspect the dealer improperly replaced the ignition coil and/or fuel line, and it's causing this problem?
