How many years should I expect out of a Echo SRM 2400 Edger ?
Mine is 4 years old and I am looking at about a $75.00 repair bill. I am thinking about replacing it with a Sthil ( Good Dealer and very close to home base). Opinions wanted

    Thanks in advance

Buy a new one. At 4 years old its going to start loosing power and being unreliable real soon. Not worth putting $75.00 into something only worth about that right now.

Look at the Stihl 4 mix tools. They're very powerful and much quieter than 2 strokes. In the near future 4 mix equipment is all that will be available so you might as well invest in it now.

Buy a new one and fix the other one as a backup. I've never been able to keep one longer then 3-4 years.
