Ok i have to give an estimate to a guy who wants a couple of things done but one thing is he wants his flower beds edged out with bricks or something. He doesnt want to use the plastic edging. Any ideas? or pictures.

Matt, Iv'e seen all kinds of decorative edging things from paver type stones to wood posts that were uneven in 2 ft sections and about max. 10" high. Give him some ideas and let him decide. I personally don't like the single brick edging thing after it settles it looks terrible, unless your talking about a retaining wall, then it looks great if done right. Whats wrong with just a nice deep edge around the beds?

Try 14gauge metal, I think it looks nice when done right, plus it will hold what ever they put in the beds, here they charge $2.50 a ft to install, its $8.00 a 10 foot section at HD.

I also agree that natural edge is best!
